On Saturday, March 24, Organigram welcomed job seekers to the company’s second career fair in Moncton, New Brunswick.

A dozen Organigram personnel were on hand to meet and greet individuals interested in working in the company’s production and sanitation departments. Over 250 job seekers attended the event.

Senior management plans to extend offers to roughly 100 individuals later this week, and plan to stagger new hires each Monday for next few weeks.

Organigram is in the midst of a large-scale expansion in preparation to supply the adult recreational cannabis market and growing medical market with high-quality flower and extract products. Adding roughly 100 new staff to its production and sanitation teams is a move designed to meet the demand associated with increased production requirements.

“The event was a huge success,” said Organigram CEO Greg Engel. “We’re fortunate to have a deep pool of talent in New Brunswick from which to draw motivated, capable candidates. These new hires will help ensure our products are grown and prepared for sale to meet the high standard of quality we’ve become well-known for in the current medical cannabis market.”

With over 175 employees today, Engel anticipates the number of full-time staff will grow to over 250 by mid-2018.
