Last week, Organigram announced its plans to allocate around 25 per cent of its future production efforts toward supplying the adult recreational cannabis market in New Brunswick, following the change in adult recreational cannabis legislation, set for July 1, 2018.

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our valuable medical patients that their access to Organigram’s suite of medical cannabis products will not be affected in any way as a result of our supply commitments to the adult recreational market.

As a medical company first and foremost, our production plan has been designed with our patient base in mind as our top priority. We are undergoing rapid expansion at our New Brunswick-based production facility, increasing production capacity to meet both the needs of the impending recreational market, to maintain the medical needs of our current patient base and to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality medical cannabis products for our patients as the group continues to grow over the coming years.
