We are pleased to introduce the first post of a monthly series, designed to feature our many operational highlights and company updates in a fast-growing industry, directly from the President’s desk.
Since the beginning of our journey as Atlantic Canada’s Original Licensed Producer, we have made tremendous progress in moving forward with our vision, consistently meeting the high demand for our products while striving to improve production efficiency and quality and provide industry-leading client services. At this time, we would like to thank all of our patients for choosing OrganiGram as their licensed producer of medical marijuana. We take our role as your provider with great pride and extend a sincere appreciation to all clients who have been with us since our early days or have joined us along the path which has brought us here today, producing the highest quality organically grown medicine and serving Canadians from coast to coast. As we move further into the new fiscal year, we have put into place a range of marketing and customer acquisition initiatives, keeping us on par to execute on our business plans.
As discussed in our most recent newsletter, we have come to naturally align our company and our culture with our strong Maritime heritage. As a part of this re-branding and keeping with our client-focused approach, we announced several items of importance in our most recent newsletter, including our new strain names, strain snapshots, our Helping Heroes Program, and a variety of new client offerings.
Located at the heart of the Maritimes in Moncton, NB, we greatly appreciate the support of our vibrant community and are proud to be able to contribute through the creation of sustainable employment. We continually welcome new members into our family and have built a team of best-in-class employees who are the backbone of our success. I cannot thank them enough for their endless effort and dedication. Joining us at OrganiGram is more than just coming to work with us, it is about sharing our passion, culture and advancing our vision for the company. We offer a broad range of opportunities for prospective employees and we are always looking for talented people who are interested in challenging work and continuous learning. We have various opportunities in positions including but not limited to production & growing, packaging, accounting and customer service. Last month, we received regulatory approval to activate four more organic grow rooms in accordance with the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR). The four new rooms, containing 80 lights each, increases our annual production capacity to app. 2,100kg which is sufficient to execute on our annual business plan. This further allows us to reliably increase the diversity of strains we can offer to our clients as well as providing consistent supply. Thus, we will soon be introducing Tidal Bore (R2), Bluenose (Lemon Skunk) and River Rock (BC God Bud) into our regular production cycle. We are diligently working to fill these additional rooms and anticipate bringing them into full production in the coming weeks, creating additional jobs.
In order to provide a new level of transparency, engagement and to keep our valued clients and stakeholders updated with our progress and achievements, we are excited to announce the launch of OGI Buzz, where you will be able to learn more about our team, products and company initiatives. To begin, we will be chronicling our production process from beginning to end with a new feature every week in our Grow Cycle series, starting with the cloning process. Stay tuned for some great stories and company updates!
